In accordance with Wake County policy and the North Carolina Department of Instruction, Rolesville High School provides a comprehensive health and physical education program that is designed to help each student develop skills necessary to master the content. This semester long class is a graduation requirement for all students in North Carolina.
Current Sports Education PE Unit: Touch Football via Sports Education Model. 10-1-14 Team Contracts,10-2-14 skill development, 10-3-14 scrimmages, and games begin on 10-6-14.
Next Health Unit: Nutrition Unit
Upcoming Project Based Learning in Health: Designing a restaurant from scratch using a pre-determined budget. Students will use floorplanner.com to build physical structure of the building. Design and implementation of a menu will occur as well as preparing an expense report for the restaurant. Groups will include a project manager, 2 chef positions, and a designer.
* Note: Classes rotate every 10 days between Health and PE. Week of 10-6-14 students are in PE.
